Pam Johnson
About Pam Johnson
I am a graduate student intern pursuing my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Lamar University. I offer counseling services for both adults and children under the supervision of Rosemary Thompson, MS, LPC, License #872533, at Canopy Counseling & Well-Being in Bryan, TX, and Dr. Shannon McFarlin, a professor of counseling at Lamar University.
With over 30 years of clinical experience as a physician at the time of my retirement in 2020, I felt a strong desire to help those struggling with psychological issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. My goal is to create a warm, trusting, nonjudgmental, and empathetic relationship with you to help you achieve your therapeutic goals.
I often utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in my practice, but I tailor my treatment approaches to best fit your unique circumstances by incorporating a variety of psychological tools. Rest assured that everything discussed during our sessions will remain confidential, except in specific circumstances, which we will review during our initial meeting. Some individuals may find that only a few counseling sessions are needed to reach their goals, while others might require several months or even years. I would be delighted to discuss how we can develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your needs.

Elizabeth Rubio
About Elizabeth Rubio
My name is Elizabeth Rubio, and I am a graduate counseling student at Divine Mercy University pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Houston and have spent several years working in ministry and service with children, adolescents, and adults. These experiences have shaped my deep appreciation for listening well, meeting people where they are, and walking alongside them through seasons of change.
I am especially interested in trauma-informed care and family systems, and I value creating a counseling space that is safe, collaborative, and grounded in empathy. I believe that healing and growth happen through honest conversation, meaningful relationships, and compassionate support that honors each person’s unique story, strengths, and resilience. My approach is rooted in respect, curiosity, and a belief in every individual’s capacity to grow and flourish.
My understanding of the human person is informed by Catholic anthropology, which emphasizes dignity, relationality, and hope, while remaining attentive to each client’s personal values and lived experience. If you are seeking support during this season of life, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
I am able to offer services in both English and Spanish.
